RWJBarnabas Health, in New Jersey, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Nuclear Medicine department. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide procedures, with emphasis on patient care and guest relations within a hospital setting.

The position is day shift, part-time (20 hours/week), with pay range and a $12,000 sign-on bonus for external employees. The successful candidate will work under supervision in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• NJ State license is required.
• Registered by the ARRT or NMTCB, or registry eligible.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Completion of site orientation and department training.
• Completion of IV training class.
• Completion of radiation safety training.

Responsabilidades

• Check radiopharmaceuticals prior to administration.
• Perform quality controls on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously, orally or by inhalation.
• Perform imaging procedures as required.
• Maintain records per Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.
• Perform other department duties as needed.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

$12,000 sign-on bonus (external employees only)

Job Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under the direction of the nuclear medicine supervisor and/or radiologist, the nuclear medicine technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans. Participates in and exhibits good Medical Center and Radiology guest relations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• NJ State license
• Registered by the A.R.R.T. or the N.M.T.C.B., or Registry eligible Maintain required
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and department specific orientation
• Successful completion of IV training class.
• Successful completion of radiation safety, survey and decontamination orientation/training by RS

• Performs other duties as required by the department
