Job summary

Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to join its flagship hospital team. This full-time position offers a strong clinical environment within a Level 1 trauma center and ample opportunities for professional growth.

You will independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, ensure patient safety, and support quality improvement initiatives, with comprehensive training provided for new graduates.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's degree in related field.
  • MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS certification.
  • California State Department of Health Services’ certificate as "Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine" all scopes including venipuncture.
  • Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. While experience is preferred, we welcome and encourage applications from new graduates and provide training for candidates without prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • You will independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing, compounding, administering and quality‑testing radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • You will ensure high‑quality imaging through accurate patient identification, appropriate exam selection, proper positioning and protocol completion.
  • You will maintain a safe and compliant environment through adherence to aseptic technique, medication‑administration standards, radiation safety practices, equipment maintenance requirements and precise documentation.

The Nuclear Medicine Tech I practices at a fully independent level, supporting a high‑acuity imaging environment through technical expertise, sound judgment and collaboration with Nuclear Medicine Physicians.
