Job summary

Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS) is seeking a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for a mobile imaging role with a Cardiac Stress Tech partner. Schedule Monday–Friday, daylight hours with no weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties.

Qualifications

  • Active NMTCB or ARRT(N) licensure or approved nuclear medicine program with pending certification.
  • State licensure in good standing if applicable.
  • Effective communication with patients and team members.
  • Ability to push/pull medical equipment as a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac studies (stress/rest) and image processing for physician review.
  • Follow policies, quality control, radiation safety, isotopes calibration and transport when needed.
  • Start IVs using aseptic technique and administer isotopes per standards.
  • Document results and medical history in EMR; assist with mobile operations when required.
  • Travel to client sites in a company van; set up and dismantle equipment as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with NRC/State regulations and daily QA checks.
  • Provide high-quality patient care with strong customer service.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, daylight hours. No call, no weekends, no holidays!

Responsibilities
  • Perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including image processing for physician review.
  • Implement all policies and procedures including daily quality control, equipment operations, exam procedures, radiation safety, isotopes calibration and transport (when necessary), and ordering doses using electronic methods.
  • Start IVs using aseptic techniques.
  • Administer prescribed isotopes and pharmaceuticals per national standards and company protocol.
  • Maintain all federal, state, local and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure patient safety while providing high‑quality testing.
  • Perform daily quality control checks and calibrations on camera; complete required NRC/State documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety policies and NRC/State guidelines for handling radioactive pharmaceuticals, including daily surveys of hot lab, exam room, camera and personnel.
  • Accurately document patient test results and medical history using EMR, with additional administrative documentation as required.
  • May be responsible for conducting mobile operations, including:
    • Move, load, unload and/or transport mobile imaging equipment using company van.
    • Preparation and tear‑down of operations at customer sites, including inventorying pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, loading/unloading equipment in/out of the van, setting up and dismantling diagnostic equipment, and disposing of medical waste.
    • Document daily usage and occurrences with the company vehicle.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to providing consistent, excellent customer service at all times.
  • Travel to client sites as scheduled, driving company van and following Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for transporting equipment, supplies, radioactive material, and staff.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active NMTCB or ARRT(N) licensure or successful completion of an approved nuclear medicine program with pending NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification.
  • If applicable, a state licensure in good standing.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to push/pull medical equipment as a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed at outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician offices with moderate to high patient volume.
  • Mobile teams focus on cardiac studies (SPECT) utilizing an upright GAMA camera. Team members must travel in all weather conditions in a company van, when applicable.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Walking, stooping, turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Occupational Exposure

As a company committed to following ALARA at all times, there is limited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures. Technetium (Tc‑99m) based radiopharmaceuticals are utilized for cardiac (SPECT) imaging studies. Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to follow company’s Radiation Safety Policies, including use of lead shielding, PPE, and universal precautions during patient care.
