Job summary

Colorado Springs Cardiology is seeking a Nuclear Technologist to join our cardiovascular clinic. You will prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes, operate SPECT and PET imaging, and perform cardiac imaging to support accurate diagnoses and treatments.

You will ensure patient safety, document dosages, and participate in quality control and accreditation efforts, contributing to a high-quality, patient-centered imaging service in Colorado Springs.

Qualifications

  • NMTCB or ARRT‑N licensure is required.
  • Experience with SPECT and PET imaging, cardiac care preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with imaging equipment and QC procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies under physician direction.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment to produce SPECT and PET scans for interpretation.
  • Perform cardiac imaging procedures to detect and assess abnormalities.
  • Take patient histories, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout exams.
  • Calculate, measure, and document radiation dosages and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Conduct quality control checks, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain records.
  • Safely handle and dispose of radioactive materials per regulatory standards.
  • Support departmental accreditation by maintaining thorough records and assisting with compliance.

Colorado Springs Cardiology is a rapidly growing cardiovascular clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-focused heart care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging that directly impacts patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies under physician direction.
  • Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment to produce SPECT and PET scans for physician interpretation.
  • Perform cardiac imaging procedures to detect and assess abnormalities.

What We’re Looking For
  • Certification and current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT‑N).
  • Experience with SPECT and PET imaging, especially in cardiac care, preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with imaging equipment and quality control procedures.
