Minimum of one year in acute hospital experience. Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, prepares, calibrates, logs, and administers radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures. Operates Gamma Camera imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope-sensitive devices to obtain visual representations or measurements of isotope concentration in specific body areas or organs. Utilizes effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Education: Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program with certification from NMTCB or ARRT.
Work Experience: Minimum one year in an acute care setting.
Licenses and Certifications: ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine, current California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and BLS certification.
Hourly rate: $52.58 - $70.68. Factors influencing offer include experience, education, skills, and organizational considerations.
