Job summary

Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in Las Vegas is recruiting a Nuclear Medical Technologist to perform diagnostic scans and administer radioactive isotopes under physician orders, ensuring patient safety and accurate results.

This role requires ARRT certification, IV and CPR, and at least three years of experience. You will operate scintillation detectors, manage dosages, perform lab tests, maintain records, and support physicians to deliver compassionate cancer care.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians orders.
  • Operates scintillation detection equipment to measure isotope concentrations and scanners to record visual representations.
  • Administers isotope dosage and records dosage administered following procedures.
  • Performs laboratory tests on body specimens and keeps records of tests and isotope disposition.
  • Offers expertise to physicians regarding additional/modified studies and escorts patients to treatment rooms.
  • Assists with dressings as necessary and completes paperwork for timely delivery of services.
  • Logs nuclear medicine procedures and maintains safety standards for patients and staff.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information and ensures accurate documentation.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies for Radiology Department and coordinates with other agencies.
