Job summary

St. Luke’s Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and ensure patient safety. The role requires venipuncture proficiency, image post‑processing, and strong teamwork in a high‑volume setting.

Eligibility includes ARRT/NMTCB credentials and a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine. The department offers on‑site work with 40 hours/week and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent knowledge.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification as required.
• Experience in a Nuclear Medicine Technologist role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced nuclear medicine procedures including therapy, PET/CT, and related tasks.
• Reviews patient history and orders to ensure exam accuracy and proper preparation.
• Injects radiopharmaceuticals with proper venipuncture technique and safety.
• Maintains records and billing codes; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Communicates findings and collaborates with staff across departments.
