Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and inject radiopharmaceuticals, perform cardiac nuclear studies, and assist physicians with procedures. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will hold BLS, ARRT and CNMT certifications, have 0–4 years experience, and be able to operate imaging equipment and support daily QA. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• 0 – 1 years’ experience.
• 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
• IV Certification required.
• ARRT and CNMT required.
• Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures.
• Ability to prepare and inject radioactive isotopes.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Experience with Imaging Equipment, Dose Calibrator, Geiger counter – cutie pie CGM meter preferred.
• Experience with Well & Probe Uptake System and Lead Syringe Shields & Lab Coats preferred.
• Experience with Standard Office Equipment in a Windows-based environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Measures concentrations of radioactive isotope to aid radiologists.
• Performs cardiac nuclear studies including stress MUGA, Thallium and Technetium studies.
• Assists physician with procedures as required.
• Programs computer for each procedure.
• Documents reason for test and any known allergies.
• Maintains proper aseptic technique.
• Manages nuclear schedule for patient flow and time efficiency.
• Performs QA procedures and calibrations on equipment.
