Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist to assist physicians by preparing patients and operating nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, providing therapy as ordered, and delivering quality care to pediatric through adult patients while upholding professional judgment and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
• 0-2 years of modality specific experience.
• Must be CNMT or RT(N) with B.S./B.A. preferred; registry eligible with 12 months to obtain certification; SCRQSA licensure required. BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications as ordered to obtain diagnostic images and/or provide therapy.
• Provide quality care to pediatric through adult patients with professional and ethical judgment.
• Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as described in the job description.
