Job summary

Paycom - ATS Corporate - Oneida, NY 13421 is seeking a Nuclear Medicine/PET Tech to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals with strict safety protocols and radiologic compliance.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and contribute to a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Graduate of an AMA school of Nuclear Medicine (Required).
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT or CNMT) or board eligible (Required).
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Following protocols to perform Nuclear Medicine and PET scans in a safe manner.
• Determining the appropriate dosage and type of radionuclide under Radiologist guidance.
• Preparing, administering, and measuring radioactive isotopes for exams.
• Receiving, storing, and disposing of radioactive materials per NYS requirements.
• Preparing stock solutions and calculating dosages.
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals as required.
• Detecting and mapping radiopharmaceuticals and recording exam results.
• Calculating radiation dosages and maintaining ALARA practices.
• Monitoring patient well-being and addressing concerns during exams.
• Guiding patients through the process and answering questions.
• Keeping accurate records and maintaining a safe work area.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
