Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. The role directs department activities and supports patient care within this modality.

The ideal candidate will hold NMTCB certification, ARRT registration with N credential, and have at least 2 years of related experience. AHA BLS is also preferred. Tenet is committed to diverse, inclusive employment practices.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
• Assist practitioner with operation of radiation detection equipment.
• Order radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures and prepare them for injection, ingestion, or inhalation.
• Identify radioactive substances to complete procedures.
• Process and file films as needed.

Ensures service development, personnel management and resource allocation and control to support and enhance patient care. Leads service provided within that modality and regularly provides patient care in that modality.

Qualifications

Education: Requierd: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certified, (prefer) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered and Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) credential, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Required: 2 years related.

Certifications: Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certified, (prefer) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered and Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) credential, or equivalent combination of education and experience. AHA BLS.
