Summary
Position Highlights:
Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine/PET and the Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist shall perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures on specific portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician. The role involves working with patients across various age groups: adolescence (12-18 years), young adults (19-30 years), mature adults (30-45 years), older adults (46-65 years), and aging adults (66+). Responsibilities include receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials in accordance with state and federal laws and department guidelines. The Technologist reviews and verifies that quality assurance (QA) performed on unit doses received from outside vendors and equipment complies with department and state standards. The role requires contributing to the overall department productivity and operation.
The candidate must be able to work scheduled hours and be available for "ON CALL" shifts. Flexibility to work across multiple sites/locations (MCC, MMH, MKC, MIP) as needed is required.
