Qualifications

Short Description

The candidate must operate PET/CT and SPECT/CT units under NJ state guidelines, maintaining necessary licensure to perform the CT portion of Nuclear Medicine exams with either an X-ray license or NJDEP Limited to Fusion Imaging CT Technology license. All NM exams should be acquired and processed safely and efficiently, adhering to departmental procedures. The role includes performing general NM exams, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging, completing radiation safety measures per NJDEP license, conducting quality control on instrumentation, assisting with radioactive therapeutic treatments, and proficient IV placement.

  • 0-2 years
  • Completion of clinical training through NM training program or college requirements
Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Nuclear Medicine
License/Certification Requirements
  • ARRT or NMTCB
  • NJDEP - Nuclear Medicine
  • NJDEP Diagnostic Radiology or NJDEP Limited to Fusion Imaging CT Technology
  • BLS
