Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials under physician supervision.

The role requires completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology training program, ARRT or NMTCB certification (exam eligibility within one year of hire), and a minimum of one year of nuclear medicine experience. Certification in BLS/CPR and Florida Radiologic Tech is required; background screening applies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification required; eligible for exam within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of current nuclear medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials for diverse patient ages.
• Assess, communicate with and care for pediatric to geriatric populations.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a physician, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and possess ability to assess, interact, communicate, and care for specific patient populations.

Required Qualifications

• Require completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
• Require American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification. If eligible for exam, must pass within one year from date of hire.
• Require a minimum of one (1) year of current nuclear medicine experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Computed Tomography (CT) registry.
• Prefer previous nuclear cardiology experience.

Required License and Certs

• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RT: Florida Radiologic Tech
