Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, VA seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for clinic-flex/PRN coverage. You will perform ionizing radiation procedures, administer doses, prepare and position patients, and ensure safety and quality in imaging. Collaboration with the healthcare team is essential to coordinate care.

The role requires CAHEA-credited education, NMTCB/ARRT certification, and BLS-HCP. Prior nuclear medicine experience is preferred; training and ongoing education are supported.

Qualifications

• Education: CAHEA School of Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
• Experience: Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NMTCB or ARRT certification; BLS-HCP required.

Responsibilities

• Operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Administer diagnostic/therapeutic doses via IV, inhalation, or ingestion under supervision.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; review history and correlate with exams.
• Assist with scheduling, registration, image management and processing as needed.
• Train students and staff; participate in education and quality initiatives.

Graduate of a CAHEA School of Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent. **Experience**: Experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred. **Licensure/Certification**: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by NMTCB or ARRT. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. **Other minimum qualifications**: Must apply knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served. Must have knowledge of radiopharmacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintains Nuclear Medicine certification.
