Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Tampa, FL seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide direct patient care, perform dose preparation and administration for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, and prepare images for physician review.

The ideal candidate is graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program, holds Florida license, and current BLS certification. This PRN role offers opportunities in the Nuclear Medicine department with scope for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Must maintain Florida State License and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine, therapeutic nuclear medicine, PET scanning, and related imaging procedures.
• Ensures safety and quality control for all equipment and procedures as per guidelines.
• Delivers patient-centered care and documents studies accurately.

Job Summary Nuclear medicine technologists are direct patient caregivers. They perform dose preparation and administration functions for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purpose; perform patient procedures, process, and enhance images, and prepare images for interpreting physician to view.

Licensure/Certification

Must meet ONE of the following in totality

• Maintains current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• Maintains current certification as an (ARRT) (N) American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Nuclear Medicine

Must meet ALL of the following

• Maintains current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

None. Must have knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment, procedures, and radiation safety.
