Job summary

Begell House Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to support the Customer Order execution process by reviewing engineering data, creating BOMs and drawings, and coordinating with procurement, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet project milestones.

The candidate should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 2–3 years of design engineering experience and familiarity with manufacturing processes. SolidWorks experience is preferred and rotating equipment exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and 2-3 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Experience with 2D and 3D drafting and modeling; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpretation of customer specifications.
• Assist in material selection to meet customer project requirements.
• Technical project responsibility including creating complete engineering bills of material and customer/part design drawings.
• Meets project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.
• Interfaces and supports other department functions by providing technical guidance to procurement, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to clarify project requirements.
• Conducts design reviews to ensure components & assemblies comply with customer specifications and design requirements.
• Manages multiple projects involving complex designs, including oversight of support resources and seeking guidance from technical specialists.
• Performs and reviews engineering calculations and analysis in support of design efforts.
• Reviews and approves suppliers' documentation.
• Supports technical discussions with customers and other key functional areas.
