Job summary

Black & Veatzh is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Power to design mechanical systems for new nuclear plants or modifications at multiple sites nationwide, including Gaithersburg, MD. You will collaborate with design teams, perform advanced analyses, and provide technical direction to project teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and active engineering licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience in mechanical engineering for nuclear projects.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for new nuclear power plant designs or modifications to operating plants.
• Collaborate with design teams across the US to ensure proper integration.
• Perform complex engineering analyses and calculations for assigned systems.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to team members and coordinate tasks.
