Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Nuclear Manufacturing professional to operate in a highly regulated environment. You will manufacture radioactive isotopes and drug products, set up synthesis, perform hot cell manipulations, and ensure quality through inspection, packaging and distribution.

You will also assemble sterile vials, monitor environmental conditions, document daily production activities, manage inventory, and adhere to cGMP and GDP standards while supporting ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred in manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Experience in handling radiopharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manufactures radioactive isotopes and drug products (setup, hot cell manipulations, inspection, packaging, distribution).
  • Assemble sterile vials in a controlled environment.
  • Performs environmental and personnel monitoring.
  • Maintains accurate production records and reports.

What Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Nuclear Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing of time sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity driven, highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, NRC, DOT) to support patient treatment through disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.

Shift/Schedule

40 hours weekly / Full Time

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Must be flexible to work other hours and days as needed including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
  • Manufactures radioactive isotopes and drug products (includes synthesis set up, hot cell manipulations, inspection, packaging, distribution)
  • Assemble sterile vials in a controlled environment
  • Performs environmental and personnel monitoring
  • Demonstrates strong documentation practices
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including maintenance of daily production records, report preparation and maintenance records
  • Manages inventory (includes goods receiving, material inspection, and cycle counts)
  • Performs daily radiation safety tasks, along with controlled area cleaning
  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements including Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience, preferred
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in a controlled environment and/or regulated industry, preferred
  • Formulation or Aseptic Manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Ability to manage weight up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to be an effective team member.
  • Able to repeatedly follow detailed processing instructions
  • Multi-task, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to work various shifts/schedules as needed
  • Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
