Job summary

Talen Energy seeks a Program Engineer to support ISI programs at the Susquehanna Nuclear Facility. You will lead engineering evaluations, track program performance, and develop corrective actions to maintain pressure boundary integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with station personnel, NDE vendors, and industry groups to ensure effective program execution and safe, reliable plant operation. The role emphasizes technical leadership and clear reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience at a commercial nuclear facility.
• Knowledge of ASME Section XI and NDE methods.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program requirements including scope, testing, monitoring, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain program documents, technical basis evaluations, and engineering standards.
• Evaluate inspection results, operating experience, and regulatory requirements to determine actions.
• Perform engineering evaluations and provide technical recommendations for plant operation.
• Track program performance and develop corrective actions as needed.
• Interface with NDE vendors and station personnel to support program objectives.
• Prepare technical reports and status updates for management.
