Job summary

Aptim Federal Services in Livermore, California, seeks a Project Manager for a DoD SkillBridge internship to support nuclear decontamination and decommissioning projects. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, develop project plans, and define the means and methods to meet the contract SOW with baseline cost and schedule.

The role requires active-duty U.S. military members eligible for SkillBridge, strong EVMS experience, and the ability to manage complex projects under DOE-related guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physical Science.
• PM certification preferred (PMP).
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Familiarity with DOE Order 413.3B and related EVMS requirements.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project organization across all disciplines to execute the SOW.
• Oversee initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout of the project.
• Lead client communications as the primary point of contact.
• Ensure EVMS, risk management and cost controls are implemented.
• Track progress against baselines and budgets, addressing deviations early.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to create resource-loaded schedules.
