Job summary

URMC is seeking a Nuclear Cardiology Technologist to perform advanced imaging studies, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality diagnostic data. You will work with SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT and participate in daily QC and data management within the CUPID system.

The role requires a NYS Rad Tech license, NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, and 2+ years in nuclear medicine with cardiac imaging exposure. Bachelor’s degree and related credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
• 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience.
• NYS Rad Tech License.
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and explain procedures to patients.
• Acquire and process diagnostic images while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Conduct daily quality control and maintain radio pharmacy operations.
• Manage and document patient data in the eRecord ‘CUPID’ system.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology to implement new technologies.
