The Work
You will guide AI training work on nuclear safety, radiological safety, nonproliferation, safeguards, and security. The work involves turning complex and sensitive technical subjects into clear evaluation standards, risk frameworks, and documentation.
You will also help set safe ways to abstract sensitive information, define escalation thresholds, benchmark risk assessments, and review guidance used to train advanced AI models. The role includes working with people from different fields to balance scientific progress with security concerns.
- Define evaluation standards for nuclear safety, radiological safety, nonproliferation, and security.
- Develop methods for safely abstracting sensitive or classified technical information.
- Set escalation thresholds and protocols for nuclear security risks in research and operational settings.
- Guide benchmarking of nuclear and radiological risk assessments and support nonproliferation safeguards.
- Review, refine, and validate technical guidance used in advanced-model training.
- Document best practices, compliance considerations, and the reasoning behind information-security decisions.
