Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in the United States seeks a Nuclear Analyst to aid in the safe, efficient operation of nuclear facilities and policies. You will provide analytical and administrative support to the USAF on strategic plans and policy within Booz Allen's strategy group.

You will analyze data, develop recommendations on nuclear policy, deterrence and strategic planning, and assist with forum coordination and governance during heightened operations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in classified environments.
  • Experience supporting nuclear security, deterrence, nonproliferation, or strategic planning.
  • Experience collecting, modeling, and interpreting operational data to inform decisions.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) concepts.
  • Ability to use data analysis tools and documentation software, including Excel and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and TS/SCI clearance is required.

As a nuclear analyst, you’re passionate about the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of nuclear facilities, programs, and policies . We need a nuclear analyst like you to help solve complex problems for our clients and aid in developing recommendations that inform and shape nuclear policy , deterrence, and strategic planning. On our strategic plans and policy support services team, you’ll provide analytical and administrative support to the USAF.

In this capacity, you will facilitate the effective adaptation of Air Force nuclear deterrence strategies and programs in response to evolving global and national security threats. You will provide logistical and administrative support during forum execution to capture a comprehensive record of all discussions and strategic decisions. In addition, you will work collaboratively as part of the strategic deterrence and nuclear integration initiative, providing expert support during periods of heightened operations, including addressing urgent requirements related to nuclear enterprise governance, policy revisions, strategic assessments, and unforeseen mission demands. Your technical proficiency, data analysis skills, and regulatory expertise will underpin the safe, efficient, and compliant management of nuclear facilities, programs, and policies .

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience working professionally in classified environments
  • Experience supporting nuclear security, nuclear deterrence, nonproliferation, counterproliferation, intelligence analysis, or strategic planning
  • Experience collecting, modeling, and interpreting operational, safety, and performance data to inform decision-making
  • Experience studying and evaluating nuclear operations to identify risks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications ( NC3 ) concepts
  • Ability to use tools supporting data analysis, documenting, organizing, and reporting, including database tools such as Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering

  • Experience supporting the USAF, STRATCOM, NC3, or nuclear C2
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and international non-proliferation frameworks

  • Completion of Radiation Safety Officer ( RSO ) Training
