Job summary

Moffitt invites applications for the NTRO Research Coordinator II role to coordinate non-therapeutic studies under the Dr. Vinci portfolio. You will screen, enroll, and consent participants, and enter data into Redcap, Powerchart, Oncore, or sponsor EDC systems.

Maintain data quality and protocol compliance under supervision. You will manage multiple studies, update protocols with PI guidance for regulatory submissions, document deviations, and communicate with PI, Regulatory, and management.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Biological Sciences or relevant field with two years of relevant research experience required; OR Bachelor’s degree requires at least one year of relevant research experience; OR Master’s degree no experience.
  • Required knowledge of research protocols and/or study coordination.
  • Required general knowledge of medical terminology, general computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Preferred knowledge of EMR system (Powerchart) and clinical trial management systems (OnCore).
  • Preferred experience entering data into electronic data capture systems (RedCAP or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Screen, identify eligibility, and consent participants.
  • Enter data into databases (e.g., Redcap, Powerchart, Oncore, sponsor EDC).
  • Ensure data quality and protocol adherence.
  • Handle higher volume of moderate complex studies.
  • Update protocols with PI guidance for submission to Regulatory Specialist.
  • Document deviations and communicate with PI, Regulatory, Management.
  • Coordinate communications with Tissue Core, PRISM, and shared resources.
  • Contribute to publications and assist with basic publication of results.

Coordination activities include study recruitment, enrollment, and other research activities. This position is expected to work under general supervision and direction from the supervisor and Principal Investigator to implement and coordinate research, including administrative procedures. This position is part of the NTRO research coordinator (RC) pathway.**Ideal Candidate:*** Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly and respond to the needs of the study team.* Critical thinking skills and ability to solve issues with minimal guidance.* Continues to build productive internal/external working relationships.**Responsibilities:*** Screen, identify eligibility, and consent participants. This could be any research participant, including community based or clinically based participants depending on the study needs.* Enters data and other pertinent information into the appropriate databases (i.e., Redcap, Power chart, Oncore, sponsor specific EDC system).* Responsible for quality of the data coming in and ensuring that the protocol is being followed appropriately.* Ability to handle a higher volume of moderate complex studies.* Updates protocols with PI’s guidance for submission to the Regulatory Specialist.* Documents deviations timely and communicates with the proper stakeholders (PI, Regulatory, Management).* Communication involves routinely conveying standardized information to the Regulatory Specialist on needs for the study; includes but is not limited to amendments, new study submissions, and deviations.* Communication involves routinely convey standardized information with Tissue Core, PRISM, and other shared resources at Moffitt to ensure that the recruitment, data and specimen collection are being coordinated properly.* Research coordinators can contribute to publications and assist with basic publication of results if applicable.**Credentials and Qualifications:*** Associate’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Biological Sciences or relevant field with two (2) years of relevant research experience required; OR Bachelor’s degree requires at least one (1) year of relevant research experience; OR Master’s degree no experience.* Required knowledge of research protocols and/or study coordination.* Required general knowledge of medical terminology, general commuter skills (Microsoft Office Suite).* Preferred knowledge of EMR system (Powerchart) and clinical trial management systems (OnCore)* Preferred experience entering data into electronic data capture systems (RedCAP or similar)Moffitt Team Members are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Retirement, Parental Leave and more.
