Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis at our Germantown, MD center. You will use the latest equipment to align tires and wheels, measuring caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure smooth, straight travel.

Applicants should be at least 18, legally eligible to work in the United States, and have 1 year of tire service experience or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Use current equipment to align tires and wheels, measuring caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs as needed.
• Complete other automotive service tasks to ensure customer vehicles are safe and road-ready.

NTB is proud to join the Mavis Tire Family. We're looking for a full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Germantown, MD area.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
