Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a seasoned Paramedic to join the Virtual Care at Home program, performing in-home visits under the Medical Director's supervision. This day shift role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and a passion for keeping patients safe at home.

You will respond to home visits, provide assessment and care for patients who acutely decompensate, coordinate with the broader care team, and help prevent unnecessary ER transfers through proactive, compassionate care

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Paramedic Services experience.
• Current BLS/ALS certification.
• State Paramedic license GA or SC dependent on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home community paramedic visits under Medical Director supervision.
• Examine and provide care to patients daily.
• Respond to home visits and assess and care for acutely decompensating patients.

Provides comprehensive in-home community paramedic visits to patients in the Virtual Care at Home program under the supervision of the Medical Director. Functions as a member of the healthcare team that examines and provides care to patients on a daily basis. Respond to the home, provide assessment and care for patients should they acutely decompensate.

Position Requirements

• Vocational or technical training or degree in EMT-P or PM.
• 5 years or more of Paramedic Services experience.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). ALS.
• State of Ga or SC Paramedic license depending on work location.
