Responsibilities

• Plans and formulates NPI engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
• Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles and contract requirements.
• Supports technical development, cost reduction programs and resolves engineering design and test problems.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specs and drawing releases.
• Prepares interim and completion project reports.
• Provides technical support for manufacturing area of assignment.
• Interfaces with production personnel regarding processing requirements; interacts with suppliers and customers on technical issues.
• Performs process quality investigations as required.
• Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.
• Manages tool and fixture design pertinent to processing.
• Generates material requisitions to initiate procurement.
• Translates customer requirements into usable work instructions and interfaces on technical issues.
• Reviews purchase orders, specs and blueprints for impact.
• Specifies processing and generates work instructions.
• Aims to eliminate waste and improve equipment reliability and efficiency; uses statistical methods as necessary.

Responsibilities

ThisNPI Product Engineerposition will be located in ourWichita Falls Casting Operationand will support new product introduction projects, manufacturing through process control, improvement initiatives, and assume direct responsibility forintegrity for assigned products.This position will also establish and maintain external & internal customer associate documents; prepare part specific work instructions; maintain knowledge of job cost; and develop/implement appropriate plans to improve profitability.
