Job summary

Teradyne's Nextest division in San Jose, California, is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction team. You will collaborate with design engineering on product build processes and develop new assembly procedures to bring new products to market quickly.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, with SolidWorks CAD proficiency, hands-on experience, and travel about 10%.

• Manufacturing fixture design including validation, build, documentation, and handoff to high volume production.
• Create and implement Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings.
• Monitor and drive quality standards at suppliers and internally.
• Develop and provide training to assembly personnel and contract manufacturers.

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with electro-mechanical assemblies
• Hands on assembly experience is preferred
• Experience in SolidWorks and CAD applications
• Ability to perform structured problem solving and elevate when necessary
• Flexible to work with global suppliers across multiple time zones
• Able to travel ~10%

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $108,200-$173,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
