Job summary
IDEMIA is seeking an NPI Engineer to support new product development from concept through mass production. You will design and industrialize payment card processes, set machine parameters, and qualify new products for production.
You will work with quality, finance, and supply chain to optimize processes, while applying a Lean mindset to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include coordinating with R&D and Factory Engineering, approving first mass production, and improving current
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering with 2–4 years in production/manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and safety procedures.
- Experience with FMEA, DoE, and Cp/Cpk is preferred.
- Strong time management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D and Industrialization during product development.
- Define machine and process parameters for new production lines.
- Support qualification runs and transfer to mass production.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Develop documentation and reporting for engineering management.
