Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Emerging Accelerator System team to tackle low‑level software and hardware interaction. You will influence Google's accelerator roadmap and mentor across teams.
This role focuses on integrating PCIe, fabric, IOMMU, kernel and firmware work, delivering secure accelerator‑to‑host connectivity and scalable, reliable platforms for hyperscale computing.

Accel Platforms and Lab Team's mission is to empower Google's accelerator roadmap by engineering foundational hardware (PCIe, fabric, IOMMU) and low‑level software (kernel, firmware). We provide reliable, secure, and efficient accelerator‑to‑host connectivity to enable cutting‑edge use cases. The team is also responsible for onboarding new types of domain‑specific accelerators into Google data centers.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Emerging Accelerator System team, you will have influence well beyond yourself, solving complex challenges in low‑level software and hardware interaction. Your role is critical to Google’s accelerator roadmap.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207,000 - $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
