Job description

ChristianaCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Epilepsy Team in our Outpatient Neurology specialty practice. The provider will care for both epilepsy/seizure and general neurology patients after completion of our thorough onboarding process and with support from the neurologists.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients with epilepsy, seizures, and other neurologic conditions.
• Work independently with supportive collaboration from the neurology team.
• Complete full‑time Monday‑Friday clinical duties.
• Participate in ongoing clinical education and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Family, Adult, or Adult‑Geriatric Acute Care) or as a Physician Assistant.
• Licensure or license eligibility for Delaware Registered Nurse (or compact state) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse as set forth by the Delaware Board of Nursing, or licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Delaware Board of Medicine.
• Certification by the appropriate national organization for the area of specialty.
• Prescriptive authority, including State of Delaware Controlled Substances and Federal DEA licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: prior neurology experience and comfort working independently with collaboration.
• Possible requirement of Maryland licensure and credentialing at Union Hospital.
