Job description

The APN Nurse Practitioner /PA Physician Assistant - Observation Unit DAY Per Diem utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Position is located in Edison, NJ.

Day shift.

Acute Care APN Certification required for NP.

Two years of experience in an acute care setting as an APP required.

Weekends required as needed.

3 of 6 holidays required.

No on-call requirement.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.

• 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• 2. Advance Practice Nurse License.
• 3. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• 4. Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
• 5. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1. Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
