Job summary

Albany Med Health System in Albany, NY is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver High-Resolution Anoscopy services in the General Surgery Division. This role requires collaboration with the surgical team and involves performing diagnostic evaluations and patient education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NYS licensure as an NP or PA.
• National certification applicable (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating within a surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform High-Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations for patients with abnormal anal Pap smears.
• Collaborate directly with the General Surgery team to support patient care.
• Document all clinical activities and patient care plans in the EMR.
• Participate in the development and launch of HRA screening program.
