Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive health care in primary or specialty settings, following regional protocols. The NP will perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostics, develop health plans, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.

Applicants must have NP or PA certification, physician supervision requirements, and be willing to meet state licensing and DEA requirements. OBGYN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as NP or PA.
• Licensure requirements include California NP furnishing number, RN license and NP certificate.
• DEA registration must be obtained if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective data (history) and objective data (physical exam).
• Develop assessment and management plan for acute and chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and health facilities.
• Provide education and counseling as part of care plan.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records for reviewer evaluation.
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality per policy and law.
