Qualifications

• Active NP/PA license in Alabama.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assuring delivery of quality care services to all patients in a respectful and professional manner
• Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues and recommending actions
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining histories
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds
• Instructs and counsels patients on regimens and wellness
• Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations
• Protects patients by adhering to infection-control policies
• Complies with legal and professional requirements by staying updated
• Maintains professional knowledge through education and networking
• Develops healthcare team staff through information and opportunities
• Contributes to team effort by achieving related results
• Other duties as assigned
