Mary Washington Healthcare in Virginia seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its urgent care team. You’ll deliver direct patient care, assess conditions, order tests, and coordinate treatment plans in a fast-paced clinic.

Required are an MSN (or PA degree), Virginia license or eligibility, and BLS certification. This full-time position offers growth in a supportive health system, with emphasis on patient wellness and teamwork.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to assigned patients within an urgent care setting. The Nurse Practitioner is a professional level position working under limited direction yet in coordination with an APN lead. The Physician’s Assistant will work under limited direction of the Medical Director. Typical work scenarios may require specialized knowledge, critical thinking, good judgment based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences skills, as well as strong customer service skills. Internal contacts include medical staff and management throughout the clinic and health system. External contacts include patients, physicians, outside medical staff, and community resource services.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing, required
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible
• required Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
• required Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Virginia License or eligible
• required AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
• Proficient leadership skills.

Compensation Pay Range

$58.61 - $73.26
