XPEDITED CARE LLC seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care in a fast-paced primary and urgent care setting. The NP will assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions while ensuring efficient patient flow.

The role demands strong clinical decision-making, the ability to manage high patient volumes, and proficiency with EHR systems. Evening, weekend, and some holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold MSN or DNP and be licensed to practice in Tennessee.
  • Board-certified family NP preferred (FNP-C or FNP-BC).
  • Active DEA license and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions and minor injuries.
  • Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs).
  • Prescribe medications in line with state guidelines.
  • Carry out procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, I&D.
  • Provide preventive care including physicals, screenings, and immunizations.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, meds, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate EHRs and ensure regulatory compliance.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive care in a fast-paced primary and urgent care setting. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions, while ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments for acute and chronic conditions
  • Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions (e.g., infections, minor injuries, respiratory illnesses, lacerations)
  • Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs)
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state guidelines
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage
  • Provide preventive care, including physicals, screenings, and immunizations
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EHR)
  • Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
  • Board certification (Family Nurse Practitioner preferred – FNP-C or FNP-BC)
  • Active DEA license
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Minimum 2-3years of experience in urgent care, emergency, or primary care preferred

  • Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

  • High patient volume with a mix of scheduled and walk-in visits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
  • Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan (pediatrics to geriatrics)
  • Experience with occupational health, DOT physicals, or workers’ compensation
