Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care across ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural settings at our Mass General Brigham facility. The NP will assess, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and ensure ongoing evaluation of patients.

The role requires a Master's in Nursing, RN license, and preferably an APRN. Experience as a nurse practitioner is welcomed, with an emphasis on high-quality documentation and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• RN license required; APRN preferred.
• 0–1 year NP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching across patient populations.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests.
• Develop care plans and follow-up based on findings.
• Document admissions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate.
• Order medications and write prescriptions per policy.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.

Essential Functions

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
• Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
