Job summary

Universacare in Waterbury, CT is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in daily living. Flexible shifts including full-time, part-time, and per diem are available to fit your schedule, with a focus on compassionate, respectful care.

You’ll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, companionship, light housekeeping, and monitoring health changes, while maintaining dignity and comfort for clients in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience (formal or informal) preferred.
• A heart for service and a calm, patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• PCA/HHA certification a plus—but we’re willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
