Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC is seeking a Not-for-Profit Audit Senior to join our Braintree, MA office. You will lead audit, review and compilation engagements for nonprofit, trade, and membership organizations, while guiding staff and coordinating with managers and partners.

You will oversee planning, risk assessments, fieldwork, and financial reporting, ensuring high quality client service and timely delivery. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and adherence to nonprofit accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• 2–3 years of public accounting experience with leadership of multiple engagements and staff supervision.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills; familiarity with US GAAP for nonprofit engagements.
• Excellent client service and communication skills; ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills; strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

• Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

• Knowledge of IRS Form 990/990T and related state returns (preferred, not required).
• Experience with CCH audit tools (preferred, not required).

Compensation & Benefits
