Job summary

Chenega MIOS is seeking a NoSQL Database Developer, Mid in Stafford, VA to design and optimize MarkLogic-based data solutions. You will build ingestion pipelines, craft XML/JSON data models, and support agile teams delivering mission-focused data environments for Marine Corps operations.

The role emphasizes data architecture, routine maintenance, and collaboration with senior engineers to ensure performance and reliability in government contracting projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS degree, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience in a field directly related to the position.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, Java, C+, .NET, or similar programming languages.
• 3+ years of experience with XML or JSON data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop MarkLogic ingestion pipelines for relational databases, file shares, web services, and real-time streams.
• Build and maintain transformation logic to harmonize disparate data sources into canonical XML and JSON data models.
• Participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Support requirements definition, system architecture discussions, and data architecture design activities.
• Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining MarkLogic Server environments under the direction of senior staff.
