Job summary

U.S. Soccer Federation seeks a Regional Refereeing Lead – Northeast to guide refereeing development across education, coaching, evaluation, and safety, aligning regional activity with national standards.

You will coordinate with state committees, local organizations, and regional events, shaping talent identification and progression while reporting insights to national leadership and ensuring a consistent national experience for referees and coaches.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering referee development or coaching within a structured pathway at state, national, or professional level.
• Strong understanding of the IFAB Laws of the Game and referee performance standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills across technical, operational, and leadership groups.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with State Referee Committees, local referee organizations, competition partners, and regional programs.
• Serve as a key U.S. Soccer refereeing development contact across the Northeast and support implementation of national initiatives.
• Support the regional delivery of national programs across education, coaching, evaluation, referee safety, and development.
• Coordinate and guide the assignment of referees to development matches, events, and opportunities.
• Lead the regional coaching network and maintain consistent coaching standards.
• Ensure regional activity is captured within refereeing intelligence platforms and provide regular insights to national staff.
