Job summary

Winton Woods City Schools North Campus is seeking a Security Monitor for the 1:00PM–9:00PM shift to ensure a safe campus environment. The role involves patrolling the building, monitoring access, and enforcing district policies while coordinating with the principal and security supervisor.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and security or law enforcement experience, with preference for those who have worked with adolescents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security for students, staff, visitors and property in line with district policies.
• Conduct ongoing security patrols of the building.
• Enforce school rules on smoking, parking, loitering, trespassing, theft, vandalism, substances.
• Report concerns/incidents to Building Security Supervisor and Principal.
• Assist visitors and manage visitor log, prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances and exits to the building.
• Check passes during classes and escort students as directed.
• Physically separate altercations and manage crowd control within guidelines.
• Monitor parking grounds to prevent improper parking.

Qualifications Profile

• Successful experience insecurityor law enforcement,
• Experience working with adolescents required.

Essential Functions

• Provides for the safety and security of students, staff, visitors and school district property in accordance with school district policies to provide an educational climate which is conducive to learning,
• Conducts ongoing security patrols of the building,
• Enforces board policies regarding smoking, parking, loitering, trespassing, theft, vandalism, property damage, alcohol, drug abuse, and other school rules and regulation,
• Reports concerns and incidents which may require corrective action to BuildingSecuritySupervisor and Principal,
• Encourages appropriate student conduct with regard to school rules and regulations and regulations,
• Assists visitors to the school in receiving proper direction, assists in maintaining log of all visitors, and prevents unauthorized persons from entering the building,
• Monitors and prevents unauthorized entrances and exits of the building,
• Checks student passes when classes are in session; escorts students to and from Principals' offices as directed,
• Physically separates students involved in altercations and maintains crowd control as needed in accordance with established guidelines regarding the use of force,
• Monitors the grounds to prevent loitering and improper parking of vehicles.

Every student on the main campus who is enrolled in College Prep, Honors or Advanced Placement courses is attached to the Academy of Global Studies (AGS) or the New Tech Academy (NTA).
