Bavarian Nordic, a global vaccine company, is seeking a Manager for North America Tax & Financial Compliance. You will oversee US/Canada tax estimates, returns, and reporting, coordinating with external advisers and internal stakeholders across the NA Finance function.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, HCP/HCO transparency, ESG reporting, and collaboration with Supply Chain, Legal, and Commercial teams to align tax and financial data with the correct entities.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; CPA, Canadian CPA, or advanced tax credential preferred
• 5+ years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, financial compliance, or a related field, preferably across multiple jurisdictions
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax compliance; Canadian corporate tax and indirect or provincial tax experience strongly preferred
• Experience coordinating external tax advisers and managing recurring deadlines and deliverables
• Experience in HCP/HCO transparency reporting, life sciences compliance, EPR, ESG, or other regulatory reporting preferred
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and project-management skills with close attention to detail
• Ability to interpret evolving requirements, assess business implications, and clearly communicate risks and recommendations to management
• Strong Excel and financial systems proficiency; reporting automation or data visualization experience is an advantage
• Demonstrated discretion with confidential financial, tax, employee, and third-party information

Mansioni

• Tax compliance and planning: prepare, review, coordinate, and file US/Canada tax estimates, returns, and payments.
• Canadian indirect tax and import reporting: GST/HST returns, remittances, reconciliations, and VAT reporting coordination
• Tariff and customs duty compliance: monitor changes, assess impacts, and coordinate with advisers and brokers
• Supply Chain financial alignment: work with Supply Chain to align costs, taxes, and transactions to proper entity
• Tax provision support: assist current and deferred tax calculations and period-end reporting
• Regulatory monitoring: track tax law changes and thresholds affecting reporting obligations
• External adviser coordination: be primary contact for tax advisers and track deliverables
• HCP/HCO transparency reporting: support data collection and submission under required rules
• Environmental and sustainability reporting: coordinate EPR and ESG reporting and registrations
• Financial compliance: maintain calendars, trackers, workpapers, and balance-sheet reconciliations
• State vendor compliance: support vendor registrations and financial applications with documentation
• FSS award data support: provide data for submissions and follow-up requests
• Audit and inquiry support: coordinate responses to notices and inquiries
• Cross-functional partnership: collaborate with multiple functions to ensure data quality
• Process improvement: standardize, automate, and strengthen tax/compliance processes
• Emerging requirements: research additional needs as NA business evolves
