Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain clean facilities across our Norman sites. You will perform floor care, dusting, restroom service, and trash removal while adhering to safety standards and using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.

This role supports a team with flexible duties and a focus on quality. Experience in custodial work is a plus, and candidates who are reliable and detail-oriented will excel in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.
• Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using cleaners.
• Mixes water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including spot cleaning.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Wipes and cleans tabletops and chairs.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Cleans glass doors.
• Keeps janitor's closet neat and orderly; maintains equipment.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.

Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs

Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities

A cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Required:
