Grand Mesa Nordic Council seeks an Operations Manager to lead the grooming team for world-class Nordic trails in Western Colorado. The role requires hands-on grooming, strong communication, and staff coordination in a part-time, seasonal capacity.

The GMNC, a 501c3 nonprofit, emphasizes safety and efficiency while maintaining trails and facilities. Start date is September 1, 2020, with a pay range of $20–$25 per hour and annual income estimated at $12,000–$15,000 depending on seasonality.

Qualifications

• Grooming and Nordic trail operations understanding.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Facebook and WordPress software.
• Mechanical skills.
• Supervisory experience with grooming crews.

Responsabilités

• Groom trails with Pistenbully 400 and snowmobiles.
• Produce near-daily grooming reports and coordinate with the board within budget.
• Coordinate and guide 2–4 groomers and volunteers.
• Coordinate with skier groups for events and lessons.
• Produce monthly payroll and board reports; maintain equipment logs and inventory.
