Job summary

Glacier Nordic Club in Whitefish, MT, seeks a Nordic Program Director and Head Comp Team Coach to oversee GNST operations and lead the Comp Team. You will plan practices, manage travel, schedule races, and coordinate coaches and volunteers.

The role requires a USSA Coach Certification, strong leadership, and excellent organizational skills. The position involves seasonal duties with a full-time commitment based in Whitefish.

Qualifications

• USSA Coach Certification required and maintained.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven managerial, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Nordic waxing, training, and technique.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel; ability to learn Constant Contact and WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Lead the GNST Comp Team, including training plan prep and practice leadership.
• Organize summer training for Comp and Prep, including camps.
• Coordinate with management to assist with adult clinics and programs.
• Foster a respectful, positive environment among staff and community members.
• Train and evaluate youth program coaches; conduct end-of-season evaluations.
• Manage GNST rentals, inventory, and wax room; track expenditures within budget.
• Oversee online registration and communications with registrants and coaches.
