Job summary

Schweitzer in Mammoth Lakes, California is seeking a friendly Nordic Host to assist guests at the Tamarack Cross Country Center. You'll provide directions and information about services and conditions, greet guests, scan passes, educate the public, and patrol the trails.

This part-time seasonal position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in all weather conditions. Additional benefits include ski passes for dependents and discounts at Alterra Resorts.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience strongly preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• Basic XC skiing skills.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to be on your feet for several hours each shift in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Knowledge of Mammoth Mountain, Tamarack XC and Mammoth Lakes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests at Tamarack Cross Country Center.
• Greet guests and scan passes.
• Educate the public about services and conditions.
• Patrol the trails.
