Job summary

Presbyterian Night Shelter is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and reporting. You will work with the finance team, Controller, and CFO to ensure compliance with regulations and timely, accurate data compilation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a professional office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• At least three years' experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting in a professional office setting required.
• Experience with database accounting software preferred.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, analytical individual.
• Interpersonal communication skills are critical.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting functions and reporting.
• Provide integral support to finance department, Controller, and CFO.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and meet deadlines across multiple tasks.
